Karelia University of Applied Sciences is looking for

PROJECT SPECIALIST
for full-time, fixed-term position for the period of 1.2.2022-30.6.2023.

Project specialist works in two separate research and development projects:
– Digital Twin – Sustainable Services and Knowledge Transfer in Real Estate and Building Technology
– Communicative Energy – New energy transition and low-carbon digital ser-vices in North Karelia

Key assignments for project specialist are:
– Working as an ICT specialist on projects with two multidiscipline specialist teams
– Design and implementation of information systems related to building digital twins and energy communities

We emphasize:
– Cloud computing knowledge (especially Azure but Google Cloud and AWS are counted as benefit)
– Interface and integration knowledge (device and system level APIs; REST, Web-Services)
– Database and -warehouse knowledge (especially Time Series Insight but also MySQL and Cosmos DB)
– Data analytics knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Power BI)
– Ability to work independently
– Good problem-solving skills
– Planning, organizing, and self-leadership skills
– Good spoken and written Finnish and/or English skills
– Desire to improve and deepen personal working skills


We also value:
– Game engines and VR tools knowledge
– Good communication and interaction skills
– Networks and previous business co-operation

We expect to applicant to have suitable university degree.

The position is full-time and the employment conditions comply with the collective labour agreement of Sivista. The salary with assignment specific increment is 2500-3750 EUR/month. The assignment follows a six-month probationary period.
