Connecting to the working life during the studies

Time flies so fast! It has been more than 2 years since I said “bye-bye” to my beloved Saigon city and went to a new country to study and achieve my goals. The first days in Finland were full of different and even surprising things. The weather, the language, everything, was new at first. I was born and raised in a densely populated city, where life is busy and rushed. Since moving to Joensuu, it has completely changed. Joensuu is a quiet and peaceful city and I cherish the time here. I have a space to think and slow down to love more and immerse myself in nature. 

I am currently doing an internship in a company here in Joensuu. I am very grateful to the university for allowing me to connect with the company. Thanks to the knowledge learned in classes I have a sufficient foundation to start my internship in the field of sales and marketing. I am in charge of the Southeast Asian market. The lectures and knowledge that I receive from the teachers are the keys to help me to orientate towards the career that I want to do in the future. 

For me, the choice to study abroad in Karelia UAS was an coincidence and opportunity that God bestowed on me. I am grateful that my family allowed me to follow my dream and become an international student in Joensuu, Finland.
