Enforcement and monitoring of the Code of Conduct

At Karelia, there is an internal reporting channel in accordance with Chapter 5 of the Act on the Protection of Persons Reporting Infringements of European Union and National Law (1171/2022, Whistleblower Act). This channel is used for reporting violations of EU or national legislation specifically listed in the law.

If Karelia’s partner or any external party needs to report a deficiency or misconduct falling within the scope of the national Whistleblower Act protection anonymously, they can use the channel maintained by the Chancellor of Justice. In other cases, when deficiencies arise, it is advisable to contact the relevant Karelia employee responsible for the service, Karelia’s CEO, the chairperson of the board, or their deputies.

Personnel operating on Karelia’s campuses can also make safety observations and report any unusual incidents to Karelia University of Applied Sciences through internal communication channels.
