It has been discovered that a student of Karelia UAS has been diagnosed with a coronavirus infection. The infected student has been in one classroom on Wärtsilä campus on 13th November 2020.
In accordance with the instructions of Siun Sote, Karelia UAS has informed the students and staff who may have been exposed to the virus. The students were also instructed to monitor any possible symptoms and get tested, if needed.
On Friday, 20th November 2020, Karelia UAS made a decision on starting to implement studies as distance learning as of Monday 23rd November, as instructed by the authorities. The decision was made before the information on the student’s coronavirus infection had been received.
