COVID-19 infec­tion at Karelia UAS Wärt­silä campus

It has been discov­ered that a student of Karelia UAS has been diag­nosed with a coro­n­avirus infec­tion. The infected student has been in one class­room on Wärt­silä campus on 13^th Novem­ber 2020.

In accor­dance with the instruc­tions of Siun Sote, Karelia UAS has informed the students and staff who may have been exposed to the virus. The students were also instructed to monitor any possi­ble symp­toms and get tested, if needed.

On Friday, 20^th Novem­ber 2020, Karelia UAS made a deci­sion on start­ing to imple­ment studies as distance learn­ing as of Monday 23^rd Novem­ber, as instructed by the author­i­ties. The deci­sion was made before the infor­ma­tion on the student’s coro­n­avirus infec­tion had been received.
