Students who graduated from Karelia University of Applied Sciences in 2024 have given excellent feedback on their studies in the AVOP feedback questionnaire for University of Applied Sciences graduands. Nearly all graduates participated in the survey, with a response rate of almost 100%.
The questionnaire includes 101 questions across 13 different question groups. Compared to previous years’ results, Karelia UAS students’ satisfaction has improved the most in the question groups related to the content of studies, teaching, internationality, and career counseling. In terms of career connections and counseling, Karelia UAS received the third-best feedback among all Universities of Applied Sciences.
In the question group related to internationality, multiculturalism, and language studies, Karelia UAS students gave the best feedback in Finland, especially those who graduated from the IT field. Karelia UAS also received top rankings in Finland for feedback related to internships. The most significant difference between Karelia UAS and other universities was found in the responses from IT graduates.
When comparing the feedback given by graduates from different fields of study, the most satisfied with their studies were students of construction and building technology, physiotherapy, and information processing.
– We have been collecting feedback from graduating students for years. The feedback for 2024 is excellent. Karelia UAS ranked fifth in student satisfaction among all Universities of Applied Sciences in Finland. A big thank you for this goes to the staff and students. Although the results were good, continuous development is important to ensure future success, says Karelia UAS Vice-President Marjo Nenonen.
Karelia UAS has the most satisfied Master’s students in Business Administration in Finland
Students who graduated from the master’s programs also responded to the survey. According to the survey, Karelia UAS has the most satisfied Master’s students in Leadership and Business Competence in Finland.
AVOP is a student feedback survey conducted at the graduation stage of Universities of Applied Sciences, where students evaluate and give feedback on the completed education. The results of the survey are used both locally in the development of the university’s own operations and nationally in the guidance and funding of education.
