Eligibility

Joint programmes cater to international students aiming to earn degrees from both their home university and Karelia University of Applied Sciences through Double Degree programmes, or solely from Karelia University of Applied Sciences via Articulation programmes. These programmes are available at the Bachelor’s level in fields such as International Business, Industrial Management, Information and Communication Technology, and Energy and Environmental Engineering.

Students wishing to participate in the Joint Programmes at Karelia University of Applied Sciences must ensure that their home university has established Joint Programme agreements with Karelia University of Applied Sciences..

Students seeking to apply for Joint programs, as endorsed by partner universities of Karelia University of Applied Sciences, must submit their applications to Karelia University of Applied Sciences. The application period is in March annually for the Fall intake, along with the required documents outlined below.

1. An application of admission in English

2. A photocopy of passport

3. Official Transcripts (with English translation) of courses from all university years, with official stamps (Students must receive the minimum pass grade from all their courses in relation to their own university grading system);

Admission criteria

Students, who are recommended by their university (Karelia University of Applied Sciences partner university), and meet with Karelia University of Applied Sciences admission requirements, shall be granted admission for the program.

  • 2+ 2 (2 years at your university and 2 years at Karelia University of Applied Sciences) for Industrial Management, Information and Communication Technology programmes 
  • 2 + 1.5 (2 years at your university and 1.5 years at Karelia University of Applied Sciences) for International Business programme
  •  3 + 1 (3 years at your university and 1 year at Karelia University of Applied Sciences) for Degree Programme in Energy and Environmental Engineering

Students must ensure that their home universities have established Joint Programme agreements with Karelia University of Applied Sciences to participate in Joint Programmes.

Students recommended by their university for Joint programmes should submit their applications to Karelia University of Applied Sciences in March for the Fall intake each year.

Information and Communication Technology

Degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) provides you with a wide knowhow for working on the ICT field in Finland.

International Business

The Degree Programme in International Business enables you to develop expertise required in global business. The main focus of the studies is on international marketing as a part of successful business. 

Energy and Environmental Engineering

Energy and Environmental Engineering courses are INVEST Specialization Studies at Karelia University of Applied Sciences. Structure of studies consists of 30 ECTS in Autumn semester and 30 ECTS onsite in Spring semester.
