Master’s Degree Programmes

Karelia UAS offers high-quality educa­tion that is based on research. It has over ten years’ expe­ri­ence of master’s degree programmes.
The follow­ing Master’s Degree programmes are intended for compa­nies, orga­ni­za­tions and higher educa­tional insti­tu­tions. The programmes comprise 90 ECTS credits (one credit equals 27 hours of student’s work) and the peda­gog­i­cal imple­men­ta­tion can be tailored accord­ing to client needs. The imple­men­ta­tion may contain contact teach­ing, distance learn­ing as well as online teaching.

Active Ageing (90 ECTS credits)

Ageing is one of the strate­gic focus areas of Karelia UAS. The Master’s Degree in Active Ageing provides the students with a chance to develop their exper­tise in ageing and gives them a possi­bil­ity to work for a better future. The grad­u­ates from the Master’s programme work together with older people to enhance their well-being. The peda­gog­i­cal imple­men­ta­tion of the programme can be tailored accord­ing to client needs.

Devel­op­ment and Manage­ment of Health Care
and Social Services (90 ECTS credits)

The Master’s degree programme in the Devel­op­ment and Manage­ment of Health Care and Social Services educates effec­tive and well-qual­i­fied leaders, who take the respon­si­bil­ity of lead­er­ship and manage­ment seri­ously and play an inte­gral role at all levels of health care manage­ment.
The studies are conducted with the help of multi­pro­fes­sional learn­ing envi­ron­ments which enable study­ing along­side work. The educa­tion is imple­mented in close collab­o­ra­tion with working life. The peda­gog­i­cal imple­men­ta­tion of the programme can be tailored accord­ing to client needs.
