Gaining a lot of new experience

I am in my third year of studies towards a bachelor’s in Inter­na­tional Busi­ness at Karelia Univer­sity of Applied Sciences. I can’t tell any partic­u­lar reason why I chose Finland and Karelia UAS as my desti­na­tion. However, after 2 years of study­ing here, I think it was my best choice!

At Karelia UAS I have had chances to gain a lot of new expe­ri­ence. I also can express my thoughts and ideas without rejec­tion of any kind. Due to the pandemic, I spent 1,5 years study­ing online which I thought would cause many chal­lenges for me. Anyways, every­thing went smoothly even though I could not go to the campus. The curricu­lum was flex­i­ble enough to suit the situation. 

In addi­tion to group work, I have also prac­ticed in real projects in coop­er­a­tion with local compa­nies. The teach­ers and staff are helpful when­ever I need advice. Also, I was surprised by the friend­li­ness and kind­ness of the people in Joensuu. I have never been turned down when asking for help in times of trouble on the road, at school, on the bus, where-ever.

I am grate­ful for the wonder­ful expe­ri­ences I have gained during my studies at Karelia UAS. Ihave been able to develop my profes­sional skills and step out of my comfort zone. I highly recom­mend Karelia UAS to all students who wish to expe­ri­ence a high-quality inter­na­tional education.
