Connect­ing to the working life during the studies

Time flies so fast! It has been more than 2 years since I said “bye-bye” to my beloved Saigon city and went to a new country to study and achieve my goals. The first days in Finland were full of differ­ent and even surpris­ing things. The weather, the language, every­thing, was new at first. I was born and raised in a densely popu­lated city, where life is busy and rushed. Since moving to Joensuu, it has completely changed. Joensuu is a quiet and peace­ful city and I cherish the time here. I have a space to think and slow down to love more and immerse myself in nature. 

I am currently doing an intern­ship in a company here in Joensuu. I am very grate­ful to the univer­sity for allow­ing me to connect with the company. Thanks to the knowl­edge learned in classes I have a suffi­cient foun­da­tion to start my intern­ship in the field of sales and market­ing. I am in charge of the South­east Asian market. The lectures and knowl­edge that I receive from the teach­ers are the keys to help me to orien­tate towards the career that I want to do in the future. 

For me, the choice to study abroad in Karelia UAS was an coin­ci­dence and oppor­tu­nity that God bestowed on me. I am grate­ful that my family allowed me to follow my dream and become an inter­na­tional student in Joensuu, Finland. Thank you, Karelia Univer­sity of Applied Sciences, teach­ers, and friends for accom­pa­ny­ing me in my days of study­ing and improv­ing my skills
